# I get it
Many years ago, I had a young family and wanted a career where I could put my family first whilst earning money to give us a better quality of life! Starting my beauty business without the necessary business knowledge or skills was a real challenge, as these are things you don't typically learn in college.
It took me quite a few years to finally establish a successful beauty business that provided me with the financial freedom and flexibility to lead the life I had always dreamed of! Despite having my qualifications as a beauty therapist and having taken a few extra courses (they can be quite addictive, haha!), I struggled to decide whether to specialize or continue offering a variety of treatments.
I found myself clueless about advertising, especially on platforms like social media and the mechanics of running a business. Determined to succeed, I immersed myself in various business courses covering advertising, social media, personal growth, money management, and client acquisition. The workload left me feeling incredibly overwhelmed as well as the amount of £££ I was investing.
My partner at the time wasn’t supportive… I wasn't making enough money to support myself and had to rely on government assistance, which only added to my stress and short temper. My head was literally spinning!!! Life wasn't much fun at that point, and I often questioned why I had chosen to start a business. All I wanted was a roadmap to show me exactly what I needed to do!
Fortunately, after a few years I crossed paths with a business coach who proved to be a guiding light in my journey. They helped me identify what truly mattered to me and what I wanted my business to represent. With their support, I was able to overcome limiting beliefs that were holding me back, primarily stemming from the fear of all the things I didn’t know and stepping out of my comfort zone. The coach's guidance proved to be invaluable for my business and was so beneficial, with the support of my coach I built a business programme that I followed from start to finish with step-by-step tasks. This not only kept me on track and motivated but helped me build the business I am proud of today!
I LOVE the beauty industry and I remember how hard it was for me at the start, multiple courses and googling everything I didn’t know. All I wanted was for someone to give me a roadmap to follow for a successful business and to make sure it still exuded my style and personality! I did all of this whilst eventually getting a divorce, being a single mum plus having a chronic illness where I slept 14-18 hours a day. I tell you this purely, so you understand we all have challenges but it’s about how you choose to solve them, that’s your super power!
That's why I also became a specific Beauty Business Coach, because I am passionate about helping women like you grow your beauty business. I think my super power has always been my tenacity to get up after I’ve taken one of life’s blows, I never give up and that’s why my passion is to help women like me / like you, meet your dreams without the stress and overwhelm and in the quickest route possible!
